God’s Will
9 05 2008
God’s warriors have arrived! It’s not Hizb Allah, nor any other party. A thunderstorm is striking Beirut, something like a minor hurricane. At the beginning I thought heavy weapons were introduced to the battle, but it turned out to be thunder. An hour ago I told my friend I wish God shows them “sheqel Allah”.
I took the risk and tried to take some photos that is the best shot I got.

Chaos in Beirut..
8 05 2008It’s getting scary in Beirut. I just talked to Alvaro who is in Beirut and he says that gun fire is everywhere! I hope that they end this ASAP. Alvaro might update us with the situation later..
UPDATE: 1
Gun fire didn’t stop for the last 6 hours (talking about where I live). Gunmen and snipers are all over the rooftops. We are taking 5 minute breaks between every explosion or wild gunfire. I would love to take a picture of the surrounding but I can’t open up the shutters. peace

Power Razor – Shave in the dark
8 05 2008
Gilette Fusion power razor adds to the 5 blade razor which is already equipped with a micro-pulse vibrator, now a built-in spotlight. Now you can shave in the dark, not really, it’s designed to illuminate places such as under the chin.
SAK you should get it since you made me buy the regular Gilette Fusion which I only used once. The barber does a better job whatsoever your gadget is.
Price: $145

Free shows for iPhone
8 05 2008There is always something new about the iPhone. NBC are offering free TV shows for iPhone/iPod Touch users. You can watch full episodes of 30 Rock or even The Office directly through your iPhone. What’s bad about this is that you will need a fast internet connection; one more thing, if you quit Safari you will have to re-watch the TV show again!

Beirut today..
7 05 2008
Riots in Lebanon led to an un-expected holiday! The whole situation was about a labor strike which was then used by the opposition party to respond to recent decisions of the government. This picture (Rouche st) was taken at 5:00 pm, usually the street is jammed by traffic during that time on regular days. Sorry for the people who suffered from riots, burning tyres, and gun fire; but a spent a really calm afternoon!

Cheese Cake factory..
7 05 2008I was really surprised to see Harvey Nichols and SAKS Fifth Avenue in Riyadh! It seems that they have everything. What really shocked me was seeing The Cheesecake Factory! I thought that The Cheesecake Factory was only in the US. To be honest, I haven’t tried The Cheesecake Factory in Riyadh but according to one of my friends its the same as the one in the US but they only serve cheesecake and not the full menu.
